The York Revolution offense too much for the Long Island Ducks in 13-1 rout

The York Revolution (17-19) jumped out to an early lead on the Long Island Ducks (22-15) and captured a 13-1 victory on Sunday at Bethpage Ballpark.

With six runs in the first three innings, the York Revolution left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI double by Scott Grimes in the first inning supplied the early offense for the York Revolution.

Ramon Castro racked up four RBIs on three hits for the York Revolution. He doubled in the third inning, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the ninth inning.

Corey Thurman picked up the win for the York Revolution. Thurman pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and no walks while striking out three.

Shawn Williams had two extra-base hits for the Long Island Ducks. He doubled in the fifth and seventh innings and singled in the ninth inning.

Eric Niesen was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
