The Somerset Patriots survive the Camden Riversharks rally, escape with 3-2 victory

The Camden Riversharks (17-19) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Somerset Patriots (16-20), and the Camden Riversharks lost 3-2 to the Somerset Patriots after falling behind by two runs in the fifth inning.

The Camden Riversharks scored one run in the eighth on an RBI double by Eduardo Perez. Despite their efforts, the Camden Riversharks couldn't get over the hump.

Jeff Nettles racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Somerset Patriots. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Doug Arguello got the win for the Somerset Patriots thanks to six strikeouts. Arguello allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over five innings.

The Camden Riversharks were led by a flawless day at the dish by Steve Doetsch, who went 3-3 against the Somerset Patriots' pitching. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and sixth innings.

Mike McGuire (2-4) took the loss for the Camden Riversharks. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
