The Camden Riversharks (15-18) jumped on the Long Island Ducks (21-12) early on their way to an 8-5 win on Thursday at Campbells Field, scoring three runs in the first inning.
Drew Macias had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
The Long Island Ducks had no answer for Blake King, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. King held the Long Island Ducks hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Brandon Sing racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Long Island Ducks. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.
Bob Zimmermann couldn't get it done on the mound for the Long Island Ducks, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
