The Seacoast Mavericks cough up lead, the Nashua Silver Knights win 10-9

The Nashua Silver Knights (39-13) trailed by three in the eighth, but the Nashua Silver Knights recovered thanks to a key single in the tenth inning from Jon Minucci to pull out a 10-9 win in 10 innings over the Seacoast Mavericks (20-33) at Holman Stadium on Thursday.

With the score tied at nine, Minucci came to the plate and singled, plating Logan Gillis.

Minucci racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Nashua Silver Knights. He homered in the first inning and singled in the tenth inning.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 19 total runs and 22 hits during the game. Both bullpens were busy with eight pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

The Nashua Silver Knights scored four runs in the first inning to build an early lead.

Cole Warren recorded his first win of the year for the Nashua Silver Knights. Warren struck out three, walked two and gave up no hits.

Anyelo Roman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.

Connor Lyons, Chris Shaw and Minucci helped lead the Nashua Silver Knights. They combined for seven hits and eight RBIs.
