The Torrington Titans (29-22) beat the Nashua Silver Knights (39-13) 8-3 in seven innings on Wednesday at Holman Stadium behind Conor Bierfeldt, who had two extra base hits.

Jon Minucci racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Nashua Silver Knights. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Jordan Scheiner improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Torrington Titans. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out one, walked five and surrendered six hits.

Tom Baroni couldn't get it done on the mound for the Nashua Silver Knights, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.

The Torrington Titans were sparked by Bierfeldt and Rich Graef, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
