The Nashua Silver Knights (32-11) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Seacoast Mavericks (20-21) roared back to steal a 4-1 victory at Leary Field.
While the Nashua Silver Knights led until the fifth inning, the Seacoast Mavericks worked their way back and took the lead on a three-run double by Kevin Stenhouse.
Stenhouse racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Seacoast Mavericks. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
The Nashua Silver Knights had no answer for Gabe May, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. May held the Nashua Silver Knights hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
A bright spot for the Nashua Silver Knights in the defeat was Cole Warren, who allowed only zero runs while striking out six.
Nicholas Kozlowski got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out five, walked five and surrendered four hits.
Alek Morency ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
