The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (5-21) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-2 to the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (10-13) on Sunday.

The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide took the lead in the eighth inning on a two-run home run by Matt Verrier.

Verrier racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. He homered in the eighth inning.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs couldn't get anything going so long as Dillon Ryan was on the hill. Ryan held the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
