The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (6-30) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 7-3 to the Torrington Titans (19-15) on Friday.
The Torrington Titans took the lead in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Kyle Murphy.
Murphy racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Torrington Titans. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.
Rhett Jones brought the heat against the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs during his outing. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs managed just one hit off of the the Torrington Titans' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.
Connor Ortolf (0-6) took the loss for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
