The Nashua Silver Knights (19-5) and the Pittsfield Suns (11-13) volleyed the lead five times on Friday, but the Nashua Silver Knights came out on top for a 6-5 win on Friday at Wahconah Park.

Jon Minucci was hot from the plate for the Nashua Silver Knights. Minucci went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the eighth inning.

Alek Morency baffled the Pittsfield Suns, striking out nine batters. Morency allowed no earned runs on three hits and three walks over four innings.

Brad MacHaffie improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Nashua Silver Knights. MacHaffie struck out none, walked one and gave up no hits.

Matt Coleman (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
