Gruntkosky allows no runs to lead the North Shore Navigators past the Seacoast Mavericks 5-4

Joe Gruntkosky kept the Seacoast Mavericks (9-9) off the board during his six innings of work and the North Shore Navigators (13-4) beat the Seacoast Mavericks, 5-4.

Gruntkosky struck out five and allowed three walks and three hits.

Brett Cahill pushed the North Shore Navigators ahead, in the twelfth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. Aaron Silbar to start the twelfth. He then went from first to second on a single by Tony Serino. Finally, Cahill came to the plate with the score tied at four, and hit a sacrifice fly, plating Silbar.

Jake McGuiggan got on base four times in the game for the North Shore Navigators. He singled in the ninth inning and doubled in the eleventh inning.

Joseph Katin improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the North Shore Navigators. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Brad Reynolds ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed one run.
