The North Shore Navigators' McGuiggan comes through in the clutch, upends the Brockton Rox, 5-1

Jake McGuiggan brought home the go-ahead run to give the North Shore Navigators (5-1) the lead in the seventh inning, as the North Shore Navigators hung on to beat the Brockton Rox (1-4) 5-1 on Wednesday.

Brett Cahill reached on an error to start the seventh. He then went from first to third on a groundout by Sam August. Finally, McGuiggan came to the plate with the score tied at one, and doubled, scoring Cahill.

Ryan Muno racked up two RBIs on one hit for the North Shore Navigators. He homered in the ninth inning.

Miles Landry looked sharp on the mound. Landry gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Brockton Rox's Jonathan Rosenberger dominated the North Shore Navigators' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.

Craig LeJeune couldn't get it done on the mound for the Brockton Rox, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
