An excellent effort by Jeremie Fagnan lifted the Lethbridge Bulls (23-18) to a 14-5 win over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (18-22) on Tuesday at Ross Wells Park.
Fagnan rocked the Moose Jaw Miller Express with two home runs. Fagnan went 3-6 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Fagnan homered in the first and third innings.
Ten runs in the opening three innings allowed the Lethbridge Bulls to easily put away the Moose Jaw Miller Express. An RBI home run by Jesse Sawyer, a two-run home run by Sawyer, and a two-run home run by Fagnan in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Lethbridge Bulls.
Mitch Schaafsma put together a nice outing. Schaafsma held the Moose Jaw Miller Express hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Michael Tittle had two extra-base hits for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He doubled in the first inning, tripled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Regan Calvert recorded his first win of the year for the Lethbridge Bulls. He allowed two runs over three innings. Calvert struck out two, walked none and gave up seven hits.
Conor Lillis-White couldn't get it done on the mound for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out four.
The Lethbridge Bulls hammered the Moose Jaw Miller Express pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 17 hits, nine RBIs and 11 runs scored.
