Chase Benfield went 4-4 at the plate, helping the Regina Red Sox (28-8) to a 7-3 victory over the Swift Current Indians (19-17) on Thursday at Mitchell Field.

It was a good day at the plate for the Swift Current Indians' Alex Mortensen. Mortensen went 4-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first, fourth, fifth, and seventh innings.

Ryne Drummonds recorded his fourth win of the year for the Regina Red Sox. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked none and surrendered 12 hits.

Alex Tufts was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
