Four first-inning runs helped the Weyburn Beavers (15-18) to a 6-4 win over the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (14-20) at Tom Laing Park on Monday.
Chris Van Keulen helped the Weyburn Beavers pull ahead for the duration in the sixth inning. With the score tied at four in the sixth inning, Van Keulen came to the plate and, bringing home Jon Neuberger.
Dalton Silva racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Weyburn Beavers. He singled in the first and sixth innings.
Daniel Brown put together a nice outing. The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets managed just one hit off of Brown, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Jake Stalzer couldn't get it done on the bump for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked three and struck out eight.
