Colwell helps the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets down the Yorkton Cardinals 9-4

The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (11-16) beat the Yorkton Cardinals (8-22) 9-4 on Monday at Jubilee Park behind Tim Colwell, who collected three hits.

He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

Andrew Tindell had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Mark Kosteniuk improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered eight hits.

Travis Donahoo (2-4) took the loss for the Yorkton Cardinals. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
