The Weyburn Beavers (11-16) took the last of five lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the Melville Millionaires (17-15), securing a 7-6 victory on Sunday at Tom Laing Park.

The Weyburn Beavers finally managed to grab the lead after a strong seventh inning. A sacrifice fly by Joseph Iorio scored Jon Neuberger and gave the Weyburn Beavers the lead for good.

Derek Wallace racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Weyburn Beavers. He homered in the fifth inning.

Chris Burk racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Melville Millionaires. He doubled in the first innings, singled in the fourth inning, and homered in the sixth inning.

Tommy Hanks recorded his first win of the year for the Weyburn Beavers. He allowed one run over one inning. Hanks struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Nathan Kirby ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
