Huson allows no runs to lead the Swift Current Indians past the Edmonton Prospects 8-2

Eric Huson kept the Edmonton Prospects (6-20) off the board during his six innings of work and the Swift Current Indians (13-13) beat the Edmonton Prospects, 8-2.

Huson struck out four and allowed two walks and two hits.

Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Swift Current Indians to easily put away the Edmonton Prospects. , , , and during the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Aaron Dunsmore in the second inning helped the Swift Current Indians put some runs on the board early.

Cam Newell had two extra-base hits for the Swift Current Indians. He doubled in the second inning, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

Stinson Ott couldn't get it done on the bump for the Edmonton Prospects, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked four, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The Swift Current Indians were sparked by Alex Mortensen and Newell, who teamed up for six hits and two RBIs.
