The Swift Current Indians (8-11) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Okotoks Dawgs (13-7) on Saturday, as the Swift Current Indians fell 4-3 at Seaman Stadium after falling behind by three runs in the fifth inning.

The Swift Current Indians scored two runs in the seventh on a groundout by Jack Thompson and an RBI triple by Cam Newell. Still, the Swift Current Indians couldn't draw even.

Trace Tam-Sing racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Newell was hot from the plate for the Swift Current Indians. Newell went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

Hunter Herdt improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Okotoks Dawgs. He allowed three runs over six innings. Herdt struck out two, walked two and gave up nine hits.

Larsen Kohler ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
