The Swift Current Indians offense too much for the Yorkton Cardinals in 14-3 rout

Story by Narrative Science.

The Swift Current Indians (6-8) jumped out to an early lead on the Yorkton Cardinals (7-11) and captured a 14-3 victory on Sunday at Mitchell Field.

With nine runs in the first three innings, the Swift Current Indians left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

The Yorkton Cardinals couldn't get anything going so long as Eric Huson was on the hill. The Yorkton Cardinals managed just one hit off of Huson, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his four innings of work.

Taylor MacDonell improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Swift Current Indians. He allowed two runs over three innings. MacDonell struck out two, walked none and gave up five hits.

The Swift Current Indians easily handled the Yorkton Cardinals pitching as seven hitters combined for 16 hits, nine RBIs and 12 runs scored.

Bryce Manning ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked one and struck out none.
