Offenses dominate as the Okotoks Dawgs outscore the Medicine Hat Mavericks 11-9

Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Okotoks Dawgs (5-4) and the Medicine Hat Mavericks (7-3), as the two teams put up 20 runs combined in a 11-9 the Okotoks Dawgs win.

The teams totaled 23 hits in the game.

The Okotoks Dawgs would not relinquish the lead as the Medicine Hat Mavericks were unable to weather a nine-run fifth inning deficit.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks scored on an RBI double by Bubba Dotson and an error in the sixth inning, a two-run single by Bryan Arthur, an error, an RBI single by Dillon Usiak, and a single by Garret Wiese in the seventh inning, and a single by Cole Judy, an error, a double by CJ DeDeaux, a groundout by Arthur, and an error in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Medicine Hat Mavericks couldn't finish the comeback.

Tyler Hollick racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Ryan Rogers got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He struck out seven, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Andrew Shoemaker was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out one.
