Bivens allows no runs to lead the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets past the Regina Red Sox 3-1

Luke Bivens held the Regina Red Sox (7-2) scoreless for 5 2/3 innings to boost the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (4-1) to a 3-1 victory.

Bivens allowed five hits, three walks and struck out six.

Jon Shoutta pushed the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets ahead, in the twelfth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. Jordan Chiero to start the twelfth. He then went from first to second on a single by Hans Ask. Finally, Shoutta came to the plate with the score tied at one, and doubled, scoring Chiero and Ask.

Chiero had two extra-base hits for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He doubled in the first and fifth innings.

Roby Romero improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He allowed one run over three innings. Romero struck out three, walked one and gave up three hits.

Ryan Brezinski (0-1) took the loss for the Regina Red Sox. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
