The Melville Millionaires (20-18) built an early lead against the Regina Red Sox (28-8), scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 5-2 win on Thursday at Pirie Field.

Chris Burk was hot from the plate for the Melville Millionaires. Burk went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Allen Rimer struck out six, paving the way for a the Melville Millionaires win. Rimer allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks over five innings.

Tanner Hamilton was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
