Brian Ranta kept the Moose Jaw Miller Express (1-4) off the board during his six innings of work and the Swift Current Indians (3-1) beat the Moose Jaw Miller Express, 8-0.

Ranta struck out eight and allowed two walks and two hits.

The Swift Current Indians blew out the Moose Jaw Miller Express thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Swift Current Indians scored four runs in the fourth on a two-run triple by Luke Barry, a two-run single by Kirk Haviland, and a single by Cody Phipps.

Conor Lillis-White (0-1) took the loss for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
