Yagi gives the Swift Current Indians late push to beat the Moose Jaw Miller Express, 4-3

Carter Yagi brought home the winning run to give the Swift Current Indians (2-1) the lead in the ninth inning, as the Swift Current Indians hung on to beat the Moose Jaw Miller Express (0-3) 4-3 on Monday.

Brennan Peterson to start the ninth. He then went from first to second on a single by Jack Thompson. Finally, Yagi came to the plate with the Swift Current Indians trailing by one in the ninth inning, and singled, scoring Peterson and Thompson.

Yagi racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Swift Current Indians. He singled in the eighth and ninth innings.

Marck Hendrick pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out two.

Despite the loss, the Moose Jaw Miller Express' Terry McNabb dominated the Swift Current Indians' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.

Adam Paulencu got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered no hits.

Ryan Paasch was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
