The Swift Current Indians (1-0) trailed by two in the ninth, but the Swift Current Indians recovered thanks to a key single in the eleventh inning from Aaron Dunsmore to pull out a 12-7 win in 11 innings over the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (0-1) at Cairns Field, Saskatoon, SK on Friday.

With the score tied at seven, Dunsmore came to the plate and singled, scoring Cody Phipps and Phipps.

Dunsmore racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Swift Current Indians. He homered in the ninth inning and singled in the fifth and eleventh innings.

The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets' lineup had no answer for Coady Chartrand. The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets managed just two hits off of Chartrand, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out seven during his five innings of work.

Luke Bivens couldn't get it done on the hill for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
