Frankie Schwindel hit two home runs to carry the Keene Swamp Bats (19-5) to a 12-5 win over the Mystic Schooners (3-20) at Fitch High School.
The Keene Swamp Bats blew out the Mystic Schooners thanks to 17 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Keene Swamp Bats scored four runs in the fourth on a two-run single by JP Sportman, a sacrifice fly by Schwindel, and an RBI single by Mike Papi.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the fourth, with five lead changes.
The Mystic Schooners' lineup had no answer for Ryan Horstman. Horstman gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out nine during his five innings of work.
Conor LeBlanc was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked four and struck out two.
The Keene Swamp Bats easily handled the Mystic Schooners pitching as six hitters combined for 13 hits, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
