Evan King went 2-4 and hit a home run as the New Bedford Bay Sox (17-11) took home a 7-3 victory over the Mystic Schooners (3-22) at Paul Walsh Field on Tuesday.

Sean Fitzgerald kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven the Mystic Schooners batters. Fitzgerald allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks over seven innings.

Blaise Lezynski did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Mystic Schooners, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the ninth inning.

Gregory Porter shut down the New Bedford Bay Sox while he was on the mound. The New Bedford Bay Sox managed just one hit off of Porter, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Louis Concato was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked none and struck out seven.
