The Vermont Mountaineers (10-11) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Keene Swamp Bats (18-4), and the Vermont Mountaineers lost 8-7 to the Keene Swamp Bats after falling behind by five runs in the eighth inning.

The Vermont Mountaineers scored four runs in the ninth on an RBI double by Brian OGrady, a groundout by Ryan Karl, and two singles. Still, the Vermont Mountaineers couldn't catch the Keene Swamp Bats.

Dylan Moore racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Keene Swamp Bats. He singled in the second inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Ryan Horstman got the win for the Keene Swamp Bats thanks to six strikeouts. Horstman allowed two earned runs, three hits and two walks over five innings.

Cole Peragine racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Vermont Mountaineers. He singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Zach Varela was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
