The Terre Haute Rex (21-15) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Springfield Sliders (14-23), and the Terre Haute Rex lost 5-3 to the Springfield Sliders after falling behind by four runs in the fifth inning.

The Terre Haute Rex scored two runs in the eighth on a two-run double by Tanner Glore. Despite their efforts, the Terre Haute Rex couldn't finish the comeback.

Sean Gerber racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Springfield Sliders. He singled in the second innings and homered in the fifth inning.

Wade Rothermich struck out seven hitters en route to the the Springfield Sliders win. Rothermich allowed one earned run, five hits and four walks over 6 2/3 innings.

Kyle Kempf reached base four times in the game for the Terre Haute Rex. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Ben Dartnell was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
