The Terre Haute Rex (21-14) used a three-run explosion in the first inning to get past the Springfield Sliders (13-23) 11-5 on Sunday at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad.

Michael Schroeder racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Terre Haute Rex. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the first and eighth innings.

William Robinson improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Terre Haute Rex. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Zachary Wittmus (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked five and struck out seven.
