A wild pitch, plating Bo Ausmus gave the Dubois County Bombers (9-1) the lead in the sixth inning, and the Dubois County Bombers hung on to beat the Terre Haute Rex (5-5) 7-3 on Friday.

Ausmus reached base four times in the game for the Dubois County Bombers. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

The Terre Haute Rex had no answer for Nick Green, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Green held the Terre Haute Rex hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two.

Ty Simpson improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Dubois County Bombers. He allowed two runs over six innings. Simpson struck out five, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Billy Timmerman (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
