A walk-off solo home run from Matthew Tellor brought home the winning run for the Springfield Sliders (12-21) in an 11-10 victory over the Dubois County Bombers in 13 innings at Robin Roberts Field on Thursday.
Tellor racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Springfield Sliders. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the thirteenth inning.
The two teams combined for 21 runs and 29 hits, including zero extra base hits. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using eight pitchers in total.
TR Dunne improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Springfield Sliders. He struck out six, walked none and surrendered two hits.
Jon Rashid (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
