Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Wednesday as the Springfield Sliders (5-15) outscored the Terre Haute Rex (9-11) 10-8.

The teams totaled 22 hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with six lead changes.

Matthew Stevens racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Springfield Sliders. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Rob McDonnell recorded his first win of the year for the Springfield Sliders. He allowed one run over two innings. McDonnell struck out four, walked two and gave up three hits.

Michael Schroeder couldn't get it done on the hill for the Terre Haute Rex, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
