TR Dunne was cold coming off the bench, but Dunne warmed up quickly as Dunne stroked a key pinch-hit double in the five to lead the Springfield Sliders (4-11) to an 11-7 win over the Terre Haute Rex (7-8) on Thursday at Robin Roberts Field.

With the Springfield Sliders trailing by two in the fifth inning, Dunne came to the plate and doubled, bringing home Michael Hurwitz.

Mike Fitzgerald Jr. hit two home runs for the Springfield Sliders. Fitzgerald Jr. went 3-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Fitzgerald Jr. homered in the first and fifth innings.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with six lead changes.

Dunne recorded his first win of the year for the Springfield Sliders. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered two hits.

William Robinson (0-1) took the loss for the Terre Haute Rex. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out six.
