An excellent effort by Kolin Conner led the Dubois County Bombers (11-2) to an 8-5 win over the Springfield Sliders (3-10) on Tuesday at Robin Roberts Field.

Conner racked up seven RBIs on three hits for the Dubois County Bombers. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh and eighth innings.

The Dubois County Bombers were in a difficult situation in the eighth inning before they recovered for the win.

The Springfield Sliders' lineup had no answer for Joey McClung. The Springfield Sliders managed just one hit off of the the Dubois County Bombers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Springfield Sliders' Adam Peters dominated the Dubois County Bombers' batters, giving up three runs and striking out seven.

Nick Capra was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
