The Slippery Rock Sliders (20-40) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-3 to the Richmond RiverRats (33-26) on Monday.

An error gave the Richmond RiverRats the lead in the sixth inning.

Derek Trovillion had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Kyle Tibbs had an impressive outing against the Slippery Rock Sliders' lineup. The Slippery Rock Sliders managed just one hit off of Tibbs, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Patrick Van Daalwyk got the win, running his season record to 5-5. He allowed three runs over five innings. Van Daalwyk struck out none, walked one and gave up 10 hits.

Max Deering was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just nine innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
