Tyler Backstrom kept the Slippery Rock Sliders (9-17) off the board during his six innings of work and the Chillicothe Paints (15-11) beat the Slippery Rock Sliders, 10-4.

Backstrom struck out one and allowed one walk and four hits.

Five runs in the opening three innings allowed the Chillicothe Paints to easily put away the Slippery Rock Sliders. A passed ball in the first inning helped the Chillicothe Paints put some runs on the board early.

Giancarlo Brugnoni racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Chillicothe Paints.

Ben Rawding (0-1) took the loss for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked four and struck out four.
