The Danville Dans (13-34) didn't have a chance on Sunday, as the Quincy Gems (27-20) won in blowout fashion, 8-2 at Quincy Stadium.

An RBI double by Zach George and a three-run home run by Nick Tindall helped the Quincy Gems score four runs in the first. The Quincy Gems had two hits in the inning.

Tindall racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Quincy Gems.

The Quincy Gems relied on Zac Pearman to eat up innings en route to the win. Pearman allowed no earned runs, six hits and no walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Tom Helwich couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Danville Dans, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked five, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
