The Quincy Gems (31-22) took the last of five lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the Dubois County Bombers (31-22), securing a 9-6 victory on Monday at Quincy Stadium.

The Quincy Gems finally managed to grab the lead after a strong seventh inning. A sacrifice fly by Gregory Allen scored Zac Zdanowicz and gave the Quincy Gems the lead for good.

It was a good day at the plate for the Quincy Gems' Zach George. George went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Dalton Rouleau racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Dubois County Bombers. He doubled in the fifth inning.

Craig Bastert improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Quincy Gems. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Jon Rashid (1-2) took the loss for the Dubois County Bombers. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
