Drew Carlile brought home the winning run to give the Quincy Gems (23-17) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Quincy Gems hung on to beat the Dubois County Bombers (25-14) 6-2 on Sunday.

With the Quincy Gems trailing by one in the seventh inning, Carlile came to the plate and homered, scoring Matt Munoz and Joe Kelch.

Carlile racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Quincy Gems. He homered in the seventh inning.

Bronson Smith improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Quincy Gems. Smith struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Spencer Sapp (1-2) took the loss for the Dubois County Bombers. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
