The Terre Haute Rex (18-14) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 9-4 to the Quincy Gems (20-13) on Wednesday.
While the Terre Haute Rex led until the seventh inning, the Quincy Gems worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Joe Kelch.
The Quincy Gems' Matt Munoz was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He singled in the second inning and homered in the seventh innings.
Nick Johnson racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Terre Haute Rex. He tripled in the third inning.
Ricky Sandquist got the win, running his season record to 2-3. Sandquist struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.
