Tindall's single gives the Quincy Gems walk-off win over the Danville Dans, 5-4

A walk-off single from Nick Tindall brought home the winning run for the Quincy Gems (4-1) in a 5-4 victory over the Danville Dans (1-4) in 10 innings at QU Stadium on Saturday.

Tindall had a hot bat for the Quincy Gems. Tindall went 1-4 and drove in one. He singled in the tenth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Quincy Gems' Nick Day. Day went 2-2 and scored three runs. He singled in the third inning.

The Danville Dans couldn't get anything going as long as Bronson Smith was on the mound. Smith gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Trey McNickle was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
