The Chillicothe Paints (30-19)'s four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 9-4 win over the Lorain County Ironmen (13-36) on Wednesday at The Pipe Yard.

Nick Lombardi racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chillicothe Paints. He singled in the first innings and homered in the fifth inning.

The Lorain County Ironmen couldn't get anything going as long as Austin Hawn was pitching. Hawn held the Lorain County Ironmen hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Sam Alvis racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Lorain County Ironmen. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Jack Peck improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Chillicothe Paints. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Mattius DeDoes couldn't get it done on the bump for the Lorain County Ironmen, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out one.
