The Hannibal Cavemen (11-7) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Dubois County Bombers (14-4) on Friday, as the Hannibal Cavemen fell 5-4 at Clemens Field after falling behind by three runs in the seventh inning.
The Hannibal Cavemen scored on an RBI single by Kris Goodman in the seventh inning and a two-run single by Zach Nichols in the ninth inning. Still, the Hannibal Cavemen couldn't catch the Dubois County Bombers.
Dalton Rouleau got on base four times in the game for the Dubois County Bombers. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
The Dubois County Bombers relied on Ty Simpson to eat up innings en route to the win. Simpson allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings of work.
