The bats were busy at League Stadium on Saturday, and when the dust cleared the Dubois County Bombers (30-22) had a 9-8 win over the Hannibal Cavemen (27-25).

The two teams combined for 24 hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the eighth, with seven lead changes.

The Dubois County Bombers finally managed to grab the lead after a strong eighth inning. An error scored Zach Long and gave the Dubois County Bombers the lead for good.

Jeff Zahn racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Dubois County Bombers. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Kurt Kudrecki got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Dustin Carlson (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
