The Dubois County Bombers (24-12) and the Quincy Gems (21-16) passed the lead back and forth five times on Monday at League Stadium, but in the end the Dubois County Bombers pulled out a 9-7 win in seven innings over the Quincy Gems.

The Dubois County Bombers staved off the Quincy Gems as the Quincy Gems were unable to match the Dubois County Bombers down the stretch.

The Quincy Gems scored on a groundout by Nick Moore and an RBI single by Zac Zdanowicz in the fifth inning and a sacrifice fly by Matt Munoz and an RBI single by Drew Carlile in the sixth inning. Despite their efforts, the Quincy Gems couldn't get over the hump.

Landon Curry racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Dubois County Bombers. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the second inning.

Pichi Torres got his second win for the Dubois County Bombers despite allowing seven runs over 5 2/3 innings. Torres struck out two, walked three and gave up 10 hits.

Tyler House was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked one and struck out none.
