The Hannibal Cavemen (16-15) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Dubois County Bombers (21-9), and the Hannibal Cavemen lost 4-3 to the Dubois County Bombers after falling behind by three runs in the sixth inning.

The Hannibal Cavemen scored two runs in the seventh on a two-run single by Zach Nichols. Despite their efforts, the Hannibal Cavemen couldn't finish the comeback.

The Hannibal Cavemen had no answer for Nick Smart, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Hannibal Cavemen managed just two hits off of Smart, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Jake Mangler was solid at the plate for the Hannibal Cavemen. Mangler went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and ninth innings.

Pichi Torres got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. Torres struck out three, walked two and gave up five hits.

Ryan Brasser (1-3) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
