Cody Daily brought home the go-ahead run to give the Dubois County Bombers (14-4) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Dubois County Bombers hung on to beat the Springfield Sliders (4-14) 3-1 on Wednesday.

Landon Curry to start the seventh. He then went from first to third on a double by Frank Rawdow. Finally, Daily came to the plate with the score tied at one, and, plating Curry.

Daily racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Dubois County Bombers. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.

Curry reached base three times. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Alex Britt handled the Springfield Sliders' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Britt allowed one earned run on six hits and two walks over six innings.

Nick Smart improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Dubois County Bombers. Smart struck out three, walked one and gave up no hits.

Rob McDonnell was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
