The Dubois County Bombers (9-1) outlasted the Terre Haute Rex (5-5) on Sunday after three lead changes, squeaking out a 7-4 win at League Stadium.

Chris Tavaras had three extra-base hits for the Dubois County Bombers. He doubled in the third and sixth innings and tripled in the eighth inning.

The Terre Haute Rex couldn't get anything going as long as David Jesch was pitching. The Terre Haute Rex managed just three hits off of Jesch, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Joey McClung improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Dubois County Bombers. He allowed four runs over two innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Tommy Strunc couldn't get it done on the hill for the Terre Haute Rex, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.

The Dubois County Bombers were sparked by Frank Rawdow and Tavaras, who teamed up for six hits and three RBIs.
