The Quincy Gems (30-21) continued to pile up the runs on Friday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 12-2 landslide win over the Danville Dans (14-37) at Danville Stadium.

The Quincy Gems scored six runs in the second on a three-run double by Nick Day, an RBI single by Aaron Priestes, a hit by pitch, and a fielder's choice.

Michael Gunn racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Quincy Gems.

Zac Pearman picked up the win for the Quincy Gems. Pearman pitched nine innings and allowed two earned runs, seven hits and four walks while striking out four.

The Danville Dans' Nick Whitty was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Zach Gordon was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked four and struck out two.
